I didn't think it would need to be this long to go through my brick foundation but I was wrong. The length was perfect, took a few minutes with my hammer drill but made it through. Based on other reviews complaining about the durability of the hollow drill bit, I took it easy. The hollow bit made it very easy to get the cabling through the wall without getting hung up (I tried for funsies to do it pushing the bare cable and it didn't work). Do be aware you need to wait til the bit cools off first. Going through masonry makes a lot of friction heat so it was very hot when I finished drilling.

Used this bit to drill through a slump block wall and feed coax cable through the hole. This bit worked great and saved me from hiring the job done.

I was trying to drill brick with masonary bit during work, and the end of the drill bit just snapped off! Never seen this happen but I guess there are downsides to the hollowness of this drill bit

Definitely recommend the wood. But don’t recommend the masonry. Wish the spiral went don’t more. Sometimes it’s hard to drill through a exterior brick wall. Would recommend a bit that has spiral all the way down then use a Thread It tool sold on tech tool supply.

Drilled through cinder block wall like butter. Job done.

Works very well, at first I wasn't too sure how well it would perform since the bit is mostly hollowed but it's very high quality and has been a breeze with running coax thru walls.

Worked great, like a hot knife through butter or drilling holes at ease through brick walls!

This is A REAL INSTALLER BIT.This company makes bits that are long enough to do any job and perfect for quickly putting lines through walls and floors. They're the only drill bits I use on installations. I carry both their general purpose and masonry installer bits in each size that I use on the job.In all honesty, if your installer bits don't look like these, then they're simply not real installer bits... They're just really long bits.Absolutely the best drill bits I've ever used, hands down, and I mean that in the sense of drilling penetration holes. With ample space for the line in the hollow shank, you'll never find an easier way to quickly push line through any penetration. If Snake Bit sent me a ball cap or Du Rag to wear on the job, I'd wear it in a heart beat... And I rarely advertise for anything except Veterans and the Army on my head gear!!
