About Installation for shark replacement power cord:
- Strip the wires about 3 inches (take off plastic coating)
- Distinguish between fire and zero wires to avoid short circuits. Twist the 2 Zero wires together until they are locked together.
- Cover it with electrical tape so none are exposed. Repeat with next set.
- Cover your work with an excessive amount of electrical tape as tight as you can get it.

The cord arrived on schedule. It is sturdy and flexible, and does not tangle or kink when I use it. After I coil up the cord, it takes a lot of force to attach the plug to the cord using the built-in clip. I used a knife to enlarge the space between the clips and now it fits much better. Also, the clip has to be on top when inserting the plug into an electrical outlet. This is the opposite of all other cords I have used, so it will take a little time to get used to it. Otherwise, it is a high-quality cord and it looks like it will last a long time.

Replacing a Shark power cord that my puppy destroyed (cord wasn't plugged in). This cord is almost exactly like the original, and a few feet longer. I like that it has a cord clip on the plug. Doesn't have a strain relief but I haven't seen any replacements that do have one.

Have a huge floor area to vac. Used this cord to extend the current cord for the vac. Able to plug into a central location and vac the whole floor without the need to move the plug three times. You need to add the female end to complete the extension cord.
