This is a high quality holster for a collapsible baton (like an Asp). It rotates to make it good for carrying in any position. It expands to fit a variety of sizes of batons (and some flashlights). The belt clip has lock on it so it won't come off your belt while drawing the baton, but it's still easy to take off (and put on) your belt. In all my years of law enforcement, I never had to use my Asp because every single time I pulled it out, it made that noise and flash of chrome that was scary enough that the suspects instantly submitted to arrest. If you're in law enforcement and on the fence about getting a collapsible baton, I can't recommend it highly enough because of that. Nothing beats not having to fight. This holster will make sure you always have it on you and make it easy to draw.

I got this for one thing but it really didn't work with my gear. Instead I used it for a costume my daughter is making and it worked well for her. Adjusting it is a bit of a pain and not very useful.

Fits baton very snug. Fits perfectly with MOLLE belt. Adjustable so you can move and angle the baton however you want/need. Comfortable. Made well with thoughtful design.

It is a fine line between having a holder that is not tight enough and one that's too tight. This one is too tight. Even after loosening the elastic cordage as far as it could go, it still held the baton way too tight to be able to pull it out and use it in anything near an effective time range. I do prefer the batons with the rubber grip as opposed to the foam, so it might be different for those who prefer foam.However, that's not the only flaw. The worst design flaw is the hole in the bottom. For some unknown reason, the designers decided to put a hole in the bottom that, when the baton is inserted, is perfectly sized to allow the tip of the baton to slide right on through. I personally prefer to keep my baton handle-up to allow for a quick grab and flick, so if you're like me, this holder will not work for you. As you can see in the picture, it allows the steel to fully extend out through the hole in the bottom. No bueno. I guess you could put a quarter or something in the bottom of the holder to prevent this, but why? Why not just buy something that works well right out of the box?I'm pretty disappointed with this product. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is that the plastic seems pretty solid and it has the rotatable clip to allow for any desired angle when sitting on the belt. Otherwise, it's a no.Just FYI: the baton pictured is the largest size that is generally available, and it is fully seated in the holder. Other sizes will obviously not protrude as much, but I did want to get an idea of how the big guy would fit.

I use a Smith & Wesson collapsible baton and the holster it came with was desigtned to carry it in the upright position. There are times when I don't want it to sit upright on my duty belt or plate carrier. This baton or flashlight holder allows for 360-degree rotation so you can carry it in multiple positions - 16 locking positions in all. It carries anything with a 1.2" diameter snugly and securely with the elastic rope to adjust for different diameter batons or flashlights. The back clip fits 2.25" wide duty belts and MOLLE systems. It's made from a thermoplastic polymer, but doesn't feel cheap at all. I can forsee this lasting quite a while. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to hold a collapsible baton or flashlight on their duty belt or plate carrier.
