I've been using the double flat head screwdrivers or mega sized C clamp to rewind brake caliper pistons for roughly 24 years. Many times I heard people say you should use a proper tool instead. Well I finally caved and decided to do that very thing and get a proper caliper piston tool. Turns out a proper tool for the job does make it easier lol. I really like the single handle usability of this tools ratchetting feature that doesn't require much effort at all in order for it to compress the piston in place in a much faster rate than using a c clamp was allowing me to do. This being the only piston tool i've used I don't have anything to compare it to build wise but I felt it is constructed of good thick steel and the ratchetting mechanism has a sufficient amount of teeth so that each ratchet forward or backward makes the press move a moderate amount so you're not cranking away making no progress. This tool somehow is also cheaper price wise than my extra large blue C clamp was. Turns out I should've listened to some of those peoples voices after all. lol. Totally worth the price to save yourself some headache.
