The DragonXT 36" Shovel is a tough and a professional metal detecting tool. It should not be used as a pry bar, axe or chisel in solid rock, dense gravel/asphalt or frozen ground. If you feel full resistance, do not force. Instead, stop and cut from another direction or remove roots, rocks and soil in smaller sections. Warning: Do not bang on cement, trees, rocks, etc to remove mud. Heat treated steel can still crack under that kind of stress.

I’ve tried about every metal detecting shovel on the market. Most are either cheap and flimsy and break or way over priced or heavy. The DragonXT is my new favorite shovel. Perfectly balanced with just the right amount of weight to help with digging the plug. Reinforced welds that give it the strength to get through roots and hard soil. Definitely recommend this shively

Most important to me is to be able to dig small hole and save plug. The hight is just right weight is a little more than I like but it works
