My cabinet drawers have a very thick face, the original hardware was installed but they cut one of the screws too short and it stripped a bit of my hardware, and fell offI ordered these to screw in deeper and they are working great

Trying to cut off the right size using sharp pliers resulted in some screws getting bent or broken at the wrong length. After some trial and error, I got the right size needed.

The part is just what I needed to replace an old screw that eventually had its there's stripped to much to hold on knobs. This screw has sections that can be cut to length. I had to use tin snips, because I tried pliers to see if it was breakaway, and they are not at all. After snipping the first section off, it was the perfect length.

Worked great. Was able to do it by myself. I only had one wrench but I suggest having two wrenches. One to brace the screw & the other to snap off the piece.

Hillman Group 35334 Breakaway Machine Screw M4-.70X50 8-PackI recommend this product and would buy it again.The drawer fronts in my kitchen are too thick for the screws provided with my drawer pulls. on top of that, the lower pot drawers are thicker than the utensil drawers.These breakaway screws are the perfect answer. They worked great. They are easy to size with pliers or vise-grip.Pros:Easy to customized length of screws.Low profile wide pan head to stabilize the drawer pull.Cons:none.

I just remodeled 3 bathrooms. I had to install a bunch of knobs and drawer pulls. If your hardware requires metric screws, buy these, they make life so much simpler. Most of the knobs and handles you're going to buy come with screws but they're rarely the right length. Drawers normally take a much longer screw then doors. These are easy to snap off at an appropriate length, keeping the job moving right along.
