This is my first impressions review. I opened everything and read through the instruction manual. I like this a lot. When I first opened it (open from the bottom of the box? That's what it says), I noticed a grate. It's a wok cradle. Very cool. It fits perfectly onto the large center grate (fits on the other grates as well) and will cradle a wok. Now, I'm not a professional cook but I know I like Asian food so I'll be looking to buy a wok. Time to watch some Asian street food videos. The other thing I noticed is that this cook surface has feet. I mean, if it has feet, it can sit on a surface, right? So, in the manual it says if you want to just use this on a surface without "installing" it, you have to route the fuel hose so that it doesn't kink. They've included an elbow that can alleviate this problem, but something someone out there might like to know. Or just bore a hole so the fuel hose can go straight down? A diamond bit will make short order of that. The best part for me was that LPG conversion parts are all included. I don't have NG here. I do have LPG and I thought I might have to get all the nozzles/jets and regulator. Nope. It's all included for LPG use. Awesome. This kit is perfect for my project and exactly what I was hoping for.The other thing I noticed was an electrical cord. This is for the electronic ignition of the fuel. All burners get ignited at the same time--something about in case there is fuel coming out of the other burners. So whether or not a burner is on, the ignition will ignite all just in case.Great little kit.

I am remodeling a rental house and went from a free-standing stove to a cooktop. Since I was doing a new installation, measurements weren’t as critical for me, but make sure if you’re swapping out cooktops that you have your measurements correct or are willing to and have room for modifications. On more than one occasion did I make a simple measurement only to find out that the cooktop has some dimension I didn’t think of and made installation a laborsome chore.I installed the cooktop by myself and didn’t have any issues. Everything attached as easily as any other cooktop I’ve installed. My flex hose fit on it without any issues. It looked really modern compared to the freestanding appliance it replaced. In terms of build quality, it seems in line with others at this price point that I looked at.The stainless steel is easy to clean as long as you clean up the mess quickly. I didn’t have any issues with staining but I was really careful when I used it. The grates are nicely manufactured and sturdy. They held my pots stable and level. All the controls and ignitors worked as expected. Water boiled about as quickly as the other stove so the distance to the flame and the settings were at least similar to what I had in there. The only thing I worry about is since this isn’t a popular brand, I hope parts are easy to source and don’t cost too much compared to more popular name cooktops. Since I’ve only had this in place less than a month, I can’t speak to the long-term life expectancy of the item, but so far so good.
