Very handy for anyone needing specific sizes 1/2" through 1". The bits are regular quality and are what you would expect for high speed steel (HSS). They go through mild steel no problem. I have not tried stainless or other harder materials. Definitely appreciate the tri-flatted shanks.A great buy for the price. Canadian customer and I paid $6.67 per bit (roughly).

The four I have used so far drill round holes the correct size in wood and plywood. They are sufficiently sharp and fast. Each one is in a plastic bag and covered with waxy grease that can be cleaned off with alcohol. Would take some time to clean them all off.

Decent set for the money. But, the shank diameter is .488 well under .500 so you can really chuck them in an SAE collet or a Weldon style holder.

Don't like that they are made out of to soft a metal, they bend easily and dull quickly, pretty disappointed in them.

The case is awesome and the bits work well.

They arent that great, but they do get the job done. its better to *bore out* holes in this size, but if you have a rigid enough machine then you wont have much trouble.
