We have double hung windows and the air seeps through up where you unlock it to slide it up, not at the base. When you turn these on the side, on their seam, they sit on that edge perfectly and blocks the cold north wind that wants to whistle through. They blocked the cold air and the high wind noise! These turned out perfect. They are lightweight and you can balance them by their heavier ends and heavier middle. There is no reason why you would need these to be heavy throughout the entire body in order to block the cold and wind.

They are very flimsy. Have to “tuck” them in to the bottom of the door but for the price should have been expected.

These are pretty great, but be advised, they are not weighted throughout. The ends and a small portion of the middle have weights in them. The rest of it is just fluffy. This does make these lighter when moving them around -- probably not doing that often depending on where you put them (mine are in window sills and a door I hardly use) -- but makes it so they don't sit as tightly against all of the frame. If your main draftiness comes from the corners, you'll be good. If it's in the middle, it might not be as effective. These look great, though, and are soft and easy to place.

Heavy enough to keep out drafts, easy to "use". The handle helps to hang them up when not being used. The lighter color looks nice but easier to get dirty. Covers length of most doors.

I have used these for just over 6 years to block light from coming under doors in a room with light blocking shades. Also, does work well in another room to stop HVAC breeze from a walk-in closet above the garage that stays cold despite having an HVAC vent. Each "seal" is well made, easy to position and remove, has held up will with daily use and shows no sign of wear.Terrible name though! Something like "door draft (and light) blocker" perhaps?

These are better than I thought they would be. They are solid yet light, weighted on the bottom, and actually block drafts for the areas they cover. I ordered two two-packs, and am very happy with them. My only concern is given that they are lighter in color, they may stain eventually, but I think they can be machine washed if needed. For now, very happy with these and would not hesitate to recommend them.

The tube is the exact length of 1 door (Id have preferred maybe a few inches longer, but it was advertised as 3 feet and it is).It is modestly heavy with weights at each end and in the middle. The 'tube' is actually sort of pillow shaped in nature, so you can lean it up against your doorjam or sliders or windows - whatever you need, and it does a good job of preventing a draft from coming in. Inexpensive, doesn't have crazy bright colors or anything to draw attention to it, and its well put together. Was worried by other reviews, but it suits my needs perfectly and I even bought 2 more for some sliding glass doors in my house!

I read many of the reviews before hesitantly buying these door snakes. Many said they are too light and thin however what they are is well engineered to use as little raw material as possible and yet still do the intended job. These are not round. They are a flatish tube shape with small weighted pockets at three spots on one side of the tube. They have a thick seam running down each side. You do not throw this on the floor and kick it into the spot you want protected. You need to bend down and gently place this at an angle in front of your door with the weighted side down. You then let the unweighted top side slant in and rest against the door. It's brilliant really, keeps the cost and shipping low which keeps the buyers cost low and yet it works great. I have no complaints. It also has a corded braid hook that makes them very easy to store when not in use. I just loop them over an hanger and put them in the closet.Photo Descriptions:One: On my counter, bent at an angle so you can see the shape, the seam and the angle. Two: Properly placed at the base of a door.
