I have not tried a broth-type soup yet, but thicker soups, chili, and stews have all worked fine in these. And not having to scrub a bowl when I finish is priceless.

The plates do the job. They are sturdy and leak proof. Hot or cold food both work great in them.

So sturdy and takes a very long time for the liquid to seep through. Way longer than it would take to pour and eat thin soup out of it. I'm so surprised and satisfied with this product. My husband and I started using this for camping this year and it has been fantastic. It can hold a lot of food, including 2 pork chops, 2 eggs, 4 pieces of bread and a half pint of mushrooms. I mean.... solid. Will be purchasing again in the future when we run out.

It does not resist heat and with cold the material quickly softens, it is only suitable for candy and cheetos
