1. Our jute rope did not add chemical adhesives. Thereason why it has a little smell is that raw materials of jute must be sprayedwith a kind of oil in the productive process in order to achieve moisture andmildew resistance, but when we open it and place it in the air, it disappearsquickly.
2. Just keep away from open flame in case that yourhands get hurt.

I used this twine for a craft project. It was the perfect width and denser than I expected. I have no doubt it could carry a lot of weight. Seemed pricey for twine but given its heft probably fairly priced.

I use this jute twine to tie up bundles of small tree branches and limbs for disposal pickup, this works great.
