Whether using the straight or 90 degree hose barb, you will need much more teflon tape than provided. The hose ends are different sizes to accommodate the two different sized hose barbs but they are so out of spec that you will need to build up the ends with teflon tape before inserting into hose ends or the leaks will never end. Same holds true in regard to the threads for the screw on opening. I did not need to apply teflon but the threads between the tank and lid are finicky and you have to fiddle with it or you will cross thread the lid. The ball valve, again needs the judicious application of teflon and I would not want to connect the valve and tank in a blind hole. It will easily cross thread. However, done correctly it has not leaked.

It holds a good amount of water and is strong. I only don’t like the fact that in order to keep water flowing at a fast rate you have to open the whole on top of the black screw on lid and it often is a pain to keep it from caving in or just staying sealed correctly. There is also some leakage by the spout, But only some times will it leak.
