Had they a week and they have corrosion on them already, without being in the weather. They still roll well.

These seem like they will tolerate plenty of abuse and exposure just fine. The machining is good, bearings are very smooth and move freely. Mounting plates are thick and well formed. A through-hole lag bolt acts as the axis of rotation, they have nuts and can be removed for servicing. Each wheel has a nice center channel to capture the cable or rail. Bolts are stainless, body and wheels appear to have cadmium plating.

These are really nice pulleys - quite robust and the bearings allow the pulleys to spin very smoothly. The bolt used for the axle is a graded bolt, it's stamped at 8.8 - really ideal to see that a quality bolt is used. Also, since a bolt is used, it's possible to disassemble the pully if you need to clean it or add some lubricant to the pulley.There are 4 mounting holes, and the two on either side are spaced at about 11/16" on center, so these can affix to a common 2x4, but it would put the mounting screws rather close to the edges of the 2x4. Depending on your use and anticipated loads, this may be fine. Regardless, these are good quality pulleys - the bearings and graded bolts really add to the overall high marks.

These little dudes are sturdy and well made. Haven't really tested the weight limit, but for ropes to raise and lower bird feeders, they were a great option!

There is a little play between the bearing and the pulley. I will try to shim it for more consistent rolling. But the price is great. And they look like they will work good for me with a little mod.
