These were installed in a pickup that is driven daily on several miles of dirt roads with washboard so severe it will rattle your teeth and everything in the truck. These lights have great light output, but....I think the vibrations took their toll on the fans and the light's internal connections. At first the fans were great, no audible noise. After a while, I started noticing a weird noise when the lights were activated as the truck was remotely unlocked. It was not long after that when segments of the lights started to fail and eventually were not as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replaced.Bottom line: These lights would probably be fine for a vehicle that is not exposed to off road conditions. I was disappointed in the service life. It is possible that I got a defective set, as one light died faster than the other.

Nice upgrade over stock halogens, leds last longer pull less electricity and run cooler. You will need a resistor or flasher if your car hyper flashes.

These work great. They are bright and nice at night when you have to back up. Makes seeing in the dark easier. We live in the country where there aren't many lights.

I ordered these with the intent of using them as DRL bulbs, but after measuring them, I am thinking otherwise. These 3157 bulbs draw 16 watts (1.31 amps x 12.3 volts) in the high mode, which is a lot of power for LEDs. Low mode is a more modest 5 watts of power draw. I ran these LEDs for 15 minutes in open air. Even with their fan design, I measured roughly 160 degrees coming off them. In a sealed headlight enclosure they would be even hotter. Because of this, I am advising against using these as DRLs where they would be on all the time. Longevity would likely be a concern due to the heat buildup, which LEDs do not like. The fan design basically just blows air across the dome lenses of the LEDs; it does nothing to actually cool the aluminum substrate the LEDs are bonded too (what you want). The lumen difference between low and high is actually very small, so if you were wanting to use these in application that has running lights and turn signal indicators blended together, your turn signal will not be that visible from standard running lights. I believe the best application for these is likely reverse lights. They will run only a very short time, but their extra brightness would help illuminate surrounding areas for reverse cameras. I also believe the 6000k color temperature to be more like 5000k.
