Could use better instructions regarding cutting the hole in the drywall where the safe fits. Once I figured that out the installation went fairly well. The safe is heavy duty and should serve our purpose.

Is a great safe and the price is right. However, the locking mechanism takes valuable space. Not much room left after door is closed. A bit disappointed about how small a space is left to store things.

This safe arrived quickly and was well wrapped with corner protections. It was easy to install even though there is no instructions and I've even dismantled the mechanism to and evaluated that it is sturdy enough to keep honest thieves away. Some cheap safes for about the same price do have pins of plastic and can be unlocked just by rocking them, this one doesn't as all parts are metal, albeit not completely unbreakable. It also fits nicely in the wall barely protruding at all, no more than 3/8 of an inch, so concealing behind pictures or furniture is very easy. Programming a code is very easy and the provided key works just fine in case you loose your code. Make sure you're precise with your drywall cuts as the lip is only 3/8 inch and won't cover much over the opening. Sure, the metal door could be thicker and the locking pins could be more in the center to reduce any prying at the corners, but for the price, I think it's hard to beat. It does fit nicely between studs and I took the liberty to wrap it in a fireproof blanket to increase it's fire rating (comes with none), although it's surely nowhere near officially rated safes. With a 5/16 blanket around, it fits really snugly between the studs. Three main critics for this model: 1) the locking mechanism takes a lot of space on the inside, so you can't put anything bulky on the second shelf, 2) the shelves are pretty flimsy and will bend under even 30 ounces of weight, they also appear to be slightly crooked and not perfectly leveled and 3) the hidden stash at bottom is pretty useless, very shallow and as soon as you put something remotely heavier than papers on the lid, it pops open canceling the purpose of hidden storage and reducing the amount of heavy stuff you can put in the safe even further. But for the price, I think this is a reasonable product to keep your precious things away from loose hands.

This safe fits perfectly in our wall. My husband was able to install it in less than 30 minutes. The only thing I would suggest, is if you have a lot of paperwork or large envelopes, you will want to get a bigger, wider safe. this is perfect for putting money, passports, jewelry or business size envelopes. But when it comes to several sizes of envelopes, you might run into a problem because they just wonât fit in there due to some of the shelves. Itâs great for what we were looking for and we plan to purchase a bigger safe for other important items.

Let me first say, my review rating is based on my needs/intentions.The package arrived quickly. Although the cardboard exterior was damaged, the seller used sturdy packing around the safe. The safe was in plastic.Now, I cannot remember where the small cardboard was located. It could have been inside or outside the safe. It was damaged, and the contents, which were keyes, instruction to lock the safe, and 4 bolts, fell out. Upon completion of the install, reading the instructions said there were batteries included. This was not indicated on the list showing what was included. SO, the install was yesterday - today I have to buy the batteries, 4 double AA. That is not why I took stars off.The install was easy enough. For reference, I am a 65 yo female. I used a step stool to hold the safe when needed. Since the bolts included were really for cement installation - which would be nice, if that was my intention, I bought general construction 3" wood screws. (wish I knew I needed the batteries at that time).The interior has two shelves. they can be taken out, but cannot be adjusted to different heights.This is where the stars come off- and again, has to do with my needs. I bought the safe and choose the size based on my intention to place a 12 x 8 metal box inside. That was my entire reason to buy the safe.I had figured the size I chose would easily accommodate it. Wrong. If you look at the pictures, you see a middle shelf. It is located behind the locking mechanism. I took that shelf out to place my box. Welllllllll, what I had not known, and if I did, I would not have bought this safe- the mechanism is about 4" H x 8" L and about 2 inches deep. This renders the middle shelf useless unless it is less than 2" deep. The positioning is about 10-11" high - so my 12" box does not fit.I am so disgusted, that I wanted to give 1 star, but knew that would not be fair. I really do not want to return and order a larger safe because 1/ there may be a horizontal stud that would interfere, and 2/ I am not sure my old body could install a heavier safe.I want to vent (make that scream), but I also wanted to forewarn someone else.Otherwise, the safe was nicely made. Still not sure what I am going to do!!!

It holds more than I thought it would. Even though it is 4â deep it holds everything I want to put in it and more. It has thick walls and is heavy. Easy to open and use and easy to hide with a picture. We had no problem installing it and are glad it is water and fire proof. I highly recommend this safe.

The safe is sturdy and will serve the purpose very well. Several items that need improvement.1 left hung door.2 adjustable shelves.3 screw holes were on the left side only. There should have 2 holes on the right side also. I was supplied with 4 lag screws. It was a pain drilling the extra 2 holes.

I wish I took a picture of my previous wall safe, but I completely forgot to before ripping it out of the wall. My previous safe came with the house when I bought it from the prior owners. It was smaller and had a dial combo. It took quite some time to get open and even then, it wasnât ideal for what I wanted to put in there.I had been looking for an electronically operated safe and this one came at a great deal. When it was delivered, I was pleased with how thick the front door was. Easily worth its value in weight alone.Installation and setup was a breeze. It doesnât lay flush with the wall unless you cut the wall to fit the frame. I had no intention of putting this safe behind a picture/painting frame, so it didnât matter to me. I framed it out with some pvc molding to give it a nicer look (removing my previous safe left a gap in some places).I may buy a larger one in the future for other uses. đ

Easy to install, and all hardware and instructions were included.Super happyI had to call customer service for some info and they are exceptional! I cannot say enough kind things about them.
