As a former smoker and chewing tobacco user, I developed gingivitis. To prevent further progression and tooth loss, my Dentist cleans my teeth 2 times a year to ensure plaque and bacteria is kept under control. Soon after, I began using these soft picks to clean between my teeth. My hygienist told me my gums are stable and is happy with my use of these soft picks.

This is a 5-star product for being sturdier and better priced than the other brand, but loses a star for having an annoyingly sharp -and possibly bloodletting- point on the grip. In Chinese, one sense of the brand name Maoer could be "cat ear" and perhaps that's what they thought the little point on the handle looked like. Not so cute however is how awkward it is to hold without jabbing your finger and how easy it is to pierce sensitive skin. On the positive side, the brush tip on the Maoer does hold up better than the big brand name, which all too easily bends and deforms in use...and sometimes loses tiny bits of the brush material if you get too vigorous in your cleaning. If they would change the handle design to something more grippy and less stabby, it would be a 6-star product.

So satisfying see ming the gunk that this silicone brush removes after each meal. If you want to get wild, scrapping your teeth near the gum line with the spine/blade end will get even more. I use one several times before the tip bends so it's not as useful and then toss. Holding up to multiple uses well was a must as I don't want to toss a piece of plastic every time I eat. I've even used an old one's spike end to clean out the cracks of the joining lines of plastic panels in my cars interior, which worked surprisingly well. One box will last me for years to come.

I find these work well, and the price cannot be beat.

I'd say this product is effective but many will be wasted as they'll be broken in use -- very flimsy and weak design. Far more cost-effective than the "Gum" brand.According to the label, made in China.
