Pretty decent shim stock kit. I never measured the 0.010" stock (I used it all to align my lathe before I could measure it), but the tolerances for the others are as follows:0.008": measured 0.0077", 0.0003" undersize0.006": measured 0.0055", 0.0005" undersize (the worst one)0.005": measured 0.0052", 0.0002" oversize0.004": mesured less than 0.0002" oversize0.003", 0.002", 0.0015", 0.001", 0.0007": all measured 0.0001" or less out from labeled size

Have a wobbly bit of fancy bathroom trim, little bit of this under one setscrew, no more wobble. Cuts easy with good scissors.

I tested the shims for accuracy, and they are spot-on in terms of thickness, as advertised. However, some of them arrived bent at the corners, likely due to the lack of proper packaging. The vendor placed them in a thin plastic bag instead of using a rigid box, which would have prevented this issue. Flattening the bent shims wasn’t a big deal, but a sturdy cardboard or plastic box would have ensured they arrived in perfect condition.

I like that the shims are the correct thickness and marked.I don't like the terrible cuts that were made on some of the edges as seen in one of my pictures.This means having to cut off that section and do it right. Not that it would bother me, but the price is pretty high for shims cut with so little thought.Mine didn't come with any bent corners though so I am thankful there.Its a nice set of shims, but to be honest I can get farm more value buying some feeler gauges from HF for a few dollars to shim most jobs and have a better range of values. If you need the width or extra length however, then that option may not be for you.
