The wire reel is made of Impact-resistant thermoplastic polymer (ABS). The wire test leads are made of high-quality soft PVC with a good rubber insulation cover and the alligator clips are 2" long.
Perfect for testing electrical components and circuits
The test leads have color-coded and alligator clips. The alligator clips with wires make it easier to grasp the battery you are trying to read, help hands-free testing, great for remote spaces.
Easy to unwind and rewind
When you need to use the test leads, you can use both hands to pull the test wires out. When you are no longer using the reel, rewind test wires into the protective case turning it clockwise.
PRODUCT USAGE
A must-have tool - You need these retractable test leads if you work on cars, trucks, tractors, or anything with electrical circuits that are more than 5 feet long. Having very long alligator test leads can be incredibly helpful for diagnosing electrical faults in cars. They are also very helpful in performing electrical work on manufacturing equipment or anything bigger than your multimeter leads can reach.
Space Saver - The retractable test leads are convenient and perfect for storage if you hate untangling cords of any type. Just need to unwind the test leads when you need them and rewind them when you finish.
Please make sure you wipe the wires as you roll them up if you use them in any greasy or dusty environments to keep them clean and in good shape.

I bought this after I saw another tech using them. Fantastic for bypassing vehicle wiring or testing if a light housing works. Obvious other uses, but I mainly use them for car wiring. Metal housing and easy to retract. Clips hold tight and can take some abuse.

My only complaint is that it reels in uneven and one side is all the way down while the other side is still 3 feet long. Wires also look like they’re getting pinched somewhere inside bc they coating is starting to rub through in some places. Should be easier to roll back up.
