About this item

  • Engineered for Heavy-Duty Jobs: Our 3" Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) Hole Saw is designed to cut through hard materials like stainless steel, aluminum, high alloy steel, copper, plastic, FRP, and PVC with precision and ease.
  • Heavy-Duty 3" Hole Cutter: This kit includes one 3" (75mm) TCT Hole Saw, Cutting Length: 1Inch; complete with a spring-loaded pilot drill bit for easy debris removal. A Hex wrench for secure tightening of the pilot bit is also included.
  • Versatile Compatibility: Featuring a 3/8” 3-Flatted Shank, this hole cutter is compatible with a variety of drills, CNC drilling machines, and other power tools, ensuring a steadfast grip to reduce slippage during heavy-duty cutting.
  • Rust-Resistant Storage: The hole cutter kit is pre-oiled and comes in a sturdy plastic case for rust-resistant storage and easy organization. For any issues or questions, our customer support team is readily available to assist.
  • Enhanced User Tips: For optimal performance, begin drilling with low torque and speed when using the pilot bit alone. Gradually increase the speed as the hole saw contacts the surface. Use cutting oil as a lubricant to prevent burning or breaking the bit.

This worked great. I had to bore a hole in the frame of a mobile home and the steel was heat treated so it dulled my bi-metal hole saw instantly. I ordered this relatively low-priced carbide tipped saw and hoped it would make it through one hole. It worked great and the teeth still look like new afterward! I did make a couple of modifications to it first. I had to go through some wood siding before the steel and there was a couple of inches gap between them and the back shoulder of this saw is larger in diameter than the hole it cuts so I couldn't reach the second layer to cut the hole. Why did they design it that way? Also, I had already drilled a 1/4" pilot hole and this saw's pilot is 6mm so it wouldn't be held true and people had mentioned snapping off pilot bits. Fortunately I have a metal lathe so I was able to reduce the diameter of the shoulder so it could pass through the first layer and I also drilled out the pilot hole and inserted a 1/4" rod for the pilot instead of a drill bit. Overall it exceeded my expectations.

Great drill bits! They cut through 1/4 inch angle iron without a issue. A great time saver!

The Hole saw cut well with multiple drills through 1/4" 4130 steel. Made a smaller pilot hole for the drill bit to cut less. But this hole saw worked very well. I recommend it for 1/16" or thicker steel. Not sure how it would work on thin metal.

I actually was impressed when I pulled them out. I needed to cut a very strong hard thick hdpe tank for a sump. These are so aggressive I almost broke the container. I'd bet you could cut through dang near anything with these if lubricant was used to cool the blades. I personally love them they cut through wood like it's foam insulation. They are probably not perfect for the plastic job I did but for cutting holes for construction these are beast mode. I'll be ordering more sizes. Used these to cut a hole for wiring in the floor. This cut through thinset is a half a second through the 4 layers of wood and vinyl easily. I got worried when I heard a nail but it chewed through it so fast I was still wondering if it was going to be a problem when the bit popped through the bottom. If you need a hole in your home for plumbing or wiring. Just get one they chew holes with almost zero effort. Watch out on plastic it can catch and cause a problem.

I am a plumber that cuts thru multiple metal studs to run water lines. I found this product to work very well for multiple cuts. Then when they get dull you can disguard or use them on other types of material without a care because you were going to throw them out. I did this and cut needed holes is a stucco lave overhang and found them to work very well for a few more additional cuts.

Excellent product must be used in press only center bit early broken with hand drill. However even with a hand drill it ripped thru 3/8 flat steel in short time to carbide cutter is extremely durable and worked very well with a very nice hole

I use this type if hole saw pretty often. I do not normally use this brand, but I was in a time crunch for the project I was on and these would show up in time. I had to drill 4, 5/8" holes through some 1/2" mild steel plate and 4 holes through a frame rail. (Slightly harder steel, but nothing I don't use other brand hole saws for all the time.)On the second hole, cutting speed was noticeably slower. (I use ample cutting fluid and a fairly slow rotational speed.) I was quite disappointed with this. The tips of the carbide had already begun to degrade. Wasn't long after, I switched to the second 5/8" cutter. Finished the second hole, got through the third, started the fourth hole and the same thing happened. Carbides chipped off.I had drilled dozens of 3/4" holes with another brand of hole cutter, in the same metal, same frame and it's still going strong. I ended up having to rent an annular cutter/ mag drill to finish out the project, which kinda defeats the point of having a small sized, easy to use, and cheap hole saw option.I would not reccomend this brand. I included pictures of both bits. Very disappointed.
