I ordered these as a spare or to use with a socket to hammer out a bearing. The stock bearings are a different head. They have a 12 pt head and they are hard to find if not near a dealer or cant wait for an order. These will work in a pinch. I don't have a concern beating on these to pop a bearing loose if needed. I know it's not the right way to loosen a wheel bearing hub, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I cannot speak for the strength or grade of this bolt. If these failed while installed, I could see that being a catastrophic failure so you might want to consider this when sourcing permanent parts. On the other side, I don't need a roughly $6 OE mopar specific bolt that has only really has one use that I can think of on a Jeep, its hard to find in a pinch. and takes a 12 pt socket (which I carry with me separate from my cheap rig tool kit pretty much only for this reason) for my emergency parts kit.
