Excavation in the hole. Then you can break it back down to put in the work

Great quality and easy to use. I had to slice 16 small ditches to run radial wires for my Ham radio HF antenna. Using the sharp points I was able to drag this tool along the ground and cut a prefect small trench for the wires. All 16 ditches were done within 2 hours with no pain in my back or shoulders. The handles are the perfect length for this kind of work. I can see all kinds of opportunities to use these in my garden next year. From planting small plants to digging drainage ditches. They came apart with the heads apart from the shafts. They only fit one way and it is very apparent how they go together. Slide the head on, turn to shaft downward and rap on the ground a couple of times and the head is securely in place. What is not to like?

The quality appears to be there. I have not been actually able to utilize them, but there are what I was looking for. I believe they will work perfectly fine, but in all honesty untested.

This steel was polished. It looks like chrome. It is very pretty. I used a Corona mattock for years to remove dandelions, especially. Yes, I know the mavens say to remove the whole root but I don't with good results. If they grow back, I suspect the same sized weed might result in that urban renewal space from a seed-in-waiting as from a veteran root struggling from below. This tool is better for my purpose than the common steel Corona mattock that vanished from my yard as it is lighter, sharper, polished and, possibly, better curved.

This is my go to garden tool. It's relatively light weight and feels good in the hand. It make planting, transplanting and just digging small holes a breeze. RECOMMEND.
