How is it used for wall painting?
Wait!
Wait until the paint is dry to the touch before removing the tape. Check the manufacturer's recommended drying times on the paint can.
Score!
Use a putty knife or razor blade to score along the edge of the tape. This prevents paint from being pulled up with the tape and prevents cracking along the paint line.
Tape!
Taking your time, lift up the painter's tape and peel it back on itself at a 45-degree angle. If adhesive sticks to the surface, try a 90-degree angle.

I just received and used the tape today to hold some wire up on a white wall. So far (three hours later), the tape is still holding. I'm actually surprised based on how easily the tape peeled off of the roll and how unsticky it felt. Due to the little adhesive on the tape, I imagine this tape would not work well on anything except a smooth surface. I'll definitely put a review if the tape falls off in the next day. After that, I will be happy with its performance and assume it was just my fault for choosing something that was meant to not stick well.

I bought this tape for multi-purpose use. Labeling boxes, painting, low tack applications where I wouldn't want to risk damage or leftover residue, etc.This tape was exceedingly weak and thin. So much so, that if you put it over a piece of paper with writing, you can read right through it.Also, the tack was incredibly weak. I'm not sure it would stick to much of anything very long. If I were painting a house, I'd be concerned it would start falling off before I'd even start to paint.I was also concerned if I labeled anything with a Sharpie it would seep through and stain underneath and then fall off anyways. So, I'd probably damage the item below the tape and the tape would surely fail eventually.Got a refund. I think this tape would fare well with kids crafts maybe? If you want ultra thin, ultrafine and super duper low tact tape this might be the ticket for you. If you're looking for an all-around "masking" tape I would not recommend. Maybe the brand has a more durable and longer lasting option?

Fresh adhesive is important because old, dried adhesive causes the tape to rip prematurely. I store my tape in plastic bags when not in use.I raise domestic rabbits and I’m using the tape to tag the cages for the identification and purpose of the occupant. It’s easy to write on this kind of tape, and it’s easily removed when the occupant is taken out. The different colors allow a color code system as well. Does get green; bucks get orange; show rabbits get yellow; biters get red. It also makes it easier for any help I get to know how to feed, which can be sold, which bite, which are pregnant.Anyone who sorts items can use multiple colors. People moving can have different colors to label boxes to different parts of the new home; or use colors to differentiate the items to move, donate to charity, give to family, or throw away.The shade is a bit darker than I thought it would be, but it’s still eye catching. The yellow tape is closer to peach than the bright yellow I was expecting, but it will work for my purposes.

If you just want masking tape and don't care too much about the color, it's fine. It tears well enough, sticks ok, and doesn't leave adhesive behind when removed. My only problem with it is the actual color is much darker than in the listing photos.Rather than that bright, almost neon green, it's a much darker and duller green. I bought it for labeling moving boxes, but the green is too dark to easily read any black permanent marker. No better than common dark blue tape for that purpose.

This is the worst painters tape ever. Every roll I tried to peel and it tore lengthwise or wouldn't come off the roll. Sometimes it took 2 layers in the process... If I hadn't tried each roll and got some off I would return it. Piece of crap.

Tape works well for the purpose I needed. Was comparing tape on yardage and the title of this product needs to be changed. It says it is 270 yards total, but it is only 90 yards total. You get 3 tapes of 30 yards each for a total of 90 yards. Just wanted to note that and change the advertising please!
