Purchased these at half the price that Kreg tools wanted for their tables. I have a small shop and all my tools need to be mobile. Wheel locks seem to hold it rock solid. Would purchase again if I ever need to

Everything works but watch out for sharp metal edges on wheel brakes. Just under the Step Brake pedal, there is a metal plate that acts as a brake on the wheel. The corners are razor sharp. If you use your hand to release the brake, it will slice your knuckles open. It is so sharp, I didn't even feel it the first time. The second time, it bled enough to catch my attention.

I bought these casters for a new drum sander stand. The sander weighs over 150 pounds and these wheels have no problem handling the weight. Each wheel has a brake that locks swivel and rotation. They are easy to lock with the toe of a shoe, but a little difficult to unlock. Overall, these wheels work as stated and make it very easy to move the sander around. Highly recommend!

One of the item's images shows a measurement of 3.7" to top of lower nut & 1" of stem above that. The casters I received have no lower nut & the stem is 1"as is, so if I added a lower nut, there would not be enough stem to go through my piece to have exposed thread to secure the top nut. Not sure if I should exchange if I can't be certain to receive what's in the image & what other reviewers showed in their images. Without the lower nut, I can't make the casters tight.

Replaced wheels on Rockler cart. I have overloaded the cart with a mini metal lathe that other tools. These stronger wheels are perfect with a better locking mechanism on each wheel.I used a scissor jack to lift each end that made the change over very quickly.

The wheels, locks and bearings all seem to be good quality. Spin free and work as expected. BUT, the threaded studs appear to be pressed out for the 5/8" hex and a 5/8" wrench will not work on any of the flats of the pressed hex because of the way the hex is mushroom pressed. The tips of a 5/8" open end "tappet" wrench barely fit on one spot on all four studs. AND a standard wrench will not fit between the top of bearing shield and the base of what you would mount these wheels to because the pressed out hex is resessed too deep and the wrench will get pinched when tightening down the mounting nuts. A "Tappet" wrench is still too thick to fit and tighten down the mounting nut. Doubtful if these can even be mounted in the fashion that they have been manufactured. The pressed out hex needs to be longer so it is past flush with the top bearing cap so as to be able to put a standard wrench on that pressed out hex on the mounting stud. This is VERY unfortunate because the rest of the caster wheel seems to be built well. I would not recommend buying these wheels if you are looking to take them right out of the box and expecting to mount them to your project without trying to figure out how to possibly make them work. I don't see how they could even work if threaded onto a pipe style leg because there is NOT enough room to get a wrench onto the pressed hex nut on the threaded stud....Update...I ordered another set for another project...This set of 5" dual locking Caster Wheels are the same as the first set I ordered and reviewed as anove... But, this set has no press manufactured nut at the base of the stem. Which relieves the initial issue from the first set ordered some months ago. The problem I see now is that there is no way to hold the Threaded Stem from rotating while I try to tighten the mounting nut to the base of my project ??? The obvious option is to use something like a "star washer" to bite into the stems metal base ??? Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated. They are great Casters besides these mounting issues !!! I will try to download two pics of these new wheels with no hex on the base of the stem to show the dilemma....The app will NOT allow me to download the two pics I have taken :(
