I bought these numbers to replace the old numbers that were above my front door. I had to remove them when I painted around the door this past Spring. I live in a very old house so I have no idea how old the numbers were that I removed but I noticed that some of the little nail thingies on the old numbers were missing. For that reason, I opted to buy new numbers. These were easy to install.
