The temperature gauge is in Celsius and no calibrated at all. So if you are in America I would recommend getting a Fahrenheit one. But over all a good starter still.

Not sure how to use it really. It made for a great gift though. When we get the results back from our friends, I will come back and update this review. I will say this though, It looks just like the moonshine steels on that show, "The Moonshiners," only smaller.

First off - this thing really is a work of art. Kinda steampunk, but lovely. Personally, I think of it as a decoration that has functionality. It does work and it is -fun- to use. It is only 3 gallons. As such, it fits on a normal stove top and gets to temperature more quickly than something bigger on the same heater. As far as function goes - this still's purpose is small rapid jobs. That makes for a fun evening with friends. A bigger still will take longer.Also with respect to function - that copper tube between pot and condenser can be a pain because it's a rigid tube. Luckily, it looks like it uses standard fittings. I'm going to replace it with a flexible stainless hose when using it.However, there's no way I'd try to use this more... industrially.

This 3Gallon Copper Pot Moonshine Still Boiler Home Brew Kit is a very nice and solid still. When I saw this I just had to take it. I was very excited for it's arrival. Owning a still has been a dream of mine and I've been trying to build my own for a very long time. It came very well protected and nothing was damaged at all. This pot still seems like a very nice still it is all pure copper. I haven't been able to put it to use yet. I did take it out of the box and assemble the still and it wasn't very hard at all. It comes with 3 rubber O rings in the little bubble wrap baggie inside the pot and I assume they are very important to keep the connections tight. It also comes with two sections of tubing for the wormbox for the input and output for the water and a hose conversion adapter too. I was worried about the thermostat that in the product pictures it looks like it only has a Celsius reading but as you can see from the photo I posted it has Fahrenheit in red.Overall this seems like a very nice and very solid copper still unit. I am very excited for my first run in this still and I will update my review once I have done a run. I would really recommend this copper still if this is something that you've always wanted too.

It is Beautiful and Sturdy. I did not get this to make moonshine. I was more interested in the more herbal-Medicinal uses… Rose water, Steamed Distilled Essential Oils.. Alcohol free Witch Hazel…Maybe distilled water.I had a stainless still, that disappeared. I had been perplexed about that, and had not been able to replace it.This is beautiful, and more than I could have hoped for.I was going to start with distilled water. It did not really come with any directions or anything. I will bookmark the Amazon Page for this and maybe some help from the Internet. I am really excited about it.I live in an organic Farming Community and wanted to get more into making all the things.

This is an amazingly beautiful setup. It’s for decoration purposes only where I live but if I took a trip somewhere that I could use it, I’d have to say that it worked well. I’d never try it in my usual residence but it’s perfectly cool to use in another place. With that said, I found this to be very well-made, beautiful, not too tough to use (look up recipes online) and it’s seemingly an art form with SO many possibilities that it’s fun for a long time. Not only that but the fruits of your labor should be just as much fun to consume. This doesn’t have a “thumper” or whatever the nomenclature is, so if you intend to use this as easily as possible to drink the results from, getting one and using it seems to be the best way to save some time getting the strongest result.Pros:Absolutely gorgeously madeEasy to setupSimpleNice conversation pieceCons:Check your local requirements and such

I use this for double and triple distilling due to its size. I use a much larger one for the 1st run of mash. This is a solid built copper still, and found it to be user friendly, of course only if you already have some knowledge of how to use them, do some reading and video watching if you dont. This is easy to set up with tight seals, no flour and water sealing needed, but I do have it on hand just in case. In the photo I have a pump running cold water from a cooler filled with water and ice through the worm. It comes with a slip on fitting to run from a faucet or hose, not how I set it up. I'm quite pleased with it and have zero complaints.Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you!
