A little lighter duty than I'd like but OK. Not nearly as robust as the OEM. There is no screw like the OEM holding it together. The emergency key fits well. The shell snapped together solid. It Works. Will it last?? Idk but I'll buy another.

Works wonderfully direct factory replacement for the housing that fell apart from my 2014 ram 1500. All I did was take the chip out of the old one and install it in this one and it worked well.

My old Fob was working only occasionally maybe once in 20 tries to open/lock the doors. As another customer found tried to use old case back as has Ram logo that dealership is looking for, but could not get it back together. So took the rubber button gubbins out of this new fob and used in old case, presto, works 19 out of 20 operations, great result for $10, unlucky for dealership - shame!

The components from my old key wouldn't fit inside the new key shell, so I simply took the soft parts out of the new key and put them in my old shell and it worked. Thankfully it was just the buttons I was having the issue with anyways, and not the shell itself. But I have a 2017 Ram 1500, and I can say that this would not be a good replacement for that key.

My truck stopped starting after I replaced the key fob housing. It would lock/unlock and even panic. But for some reason the ignition would not recognize the key. Before knowing this was the actual issue. We had the truck towed to the dealership where we were told that because we are not using an OEM key we had locked the ignition and we Need a key/ignition module replacement. After lots of back and forth I told them to go ahead with the key replacement only that worked but it cost me $400. So please make sure you consider this before you purchase.
