Work great, good condition. What else can I say? I've been using em in diy outdoor pir sensors and they work find even in heat. A little expensive but it's the price you pay for non wholesale.

I love these things. They are amazing, but Atmel... you need to work on your shipping. The pins on both of my ICs were bent so bad and so many times they were almost broken off. I had to be so careful when installing them in my project so they wouldn’t just fall off.

I ordered 2 of them for my little gamecube RGB mod project, and it worked flawlessly. Only irritation was ease of use with the related software, and the fact that you need to order a compatible USB adapter in order to load in the code. The loading itself, i wish was more streamlined or rather had a proper UI. Nonetheless, i got everything working with enough work. Recommended, these get any small controller-job done that's fairly basic at that.

Get the Curiosity HPC with PIC16F18875 MPC. Much more capable 8-bit microcontroller, with 36 I/O channels.

I'm a newbie solderer, I solder this directly to wires..Was really worried about destroying the internals..Worked out very nice and did a great job for my standalone laser tripwire project! But I might buy ATmega328p-pu next time cuz those I/O pins were not enough for slightly larger projects..Only 5 I/Os, vcc, grd and reset pin...(If i use reset pin to act as I/O, I could not re-program it easily with arduino i think)Shift registers will do but makes everything complicated.Hope Atmel would sell those too!

Great mini controller, here for a high price. They do not withstand conditions beyond their maximum operating values very well.Better read the manual first.

This device is exactly what I would expect from Atmel. It has a 20MHz clock speed as promised.I was finding that on mid range clock speeds it only cost me like 500 micro amperes. It is pretty easy to program if you have an Arduino to act as an ISP.Great little device and must have for hobbyists. At the cost you can not go wrong to have a bunch of these on the shelves. The pins have standard spacing so it is easy to make a programmer board for them.I had fast shipping with this product. and they came as shown in the advertisement. They were packaged in a standard quality anti-static bag .

Sometimes, you don't want a whole Arduino for a simple project. Maybe you just want a few LEDs or a simple "smart" switch. You don't like the idea of sacrificing a whole Nano or Mini, or even their miniscule footprint is too large. Maybe you don't want a couple of crystals and a bunch of resistors and capacitors to run a hand-built Arduino. Then this is for you. Hook it up, add only 3 wires*, and you're golden for operation. These babies will give you up to 5 digital I/O ports, or a combination of digital I/O, up to 2 PWM, or up to 3 Analog in! They're awesome. You can't put huge programs into them, but most limited I/O sketches aren't that complicated. And they're cheap. Really cheap. A full-on Arduino Uno (from Arduino) is around US$35. One of these is under $3. Can't beat that with a stick. So don't try. (Seriously, don't beat them with a stick. No point, really. They're solid state, and won't get the point.) If you buy them in bulk, you can get them close to $1 each, with $0 shipping, either from Atmel, or one of their dealers. These little guys sip power, do sophisticated processing (albeit in small chunks), and are tiny on a breadboard. Plus, they're a hundred times more brutal than Lego on the floor for discouraging cat burglars and sleep walkers. Seriously, you step on the upturned pins of a handful of these and you'll wish you had picked a different house. You don't even know how much you love these yet, but you will. Buy them and put them in your project or on your floor today!* programming takes considerably more than 3 wires, but once programmed, you many disconnect them.
