This thing is a beast. I used it to help bring down some huge trees. Very high quality, and the hook is big enough so that it will slide over the loop in a tree saver strap. You'll need a length of cable to use with it, since it's not big enough to put a strong rope (1" diameter rope is what I use) through.

Electrician here. This is a heavy piece of gear. I'm glad to have it. It will come in handy for tougher vertical wire pulls into gear where the conduit is too high for pulling wire without such assistance. I had planned on making a video for this review, just using the block to lift something heavy off the ground or whatever. Unfortunately, I have broken the ball off the top of my left humerus. Not funny at all, especially considering that I am left-handed. I will not pulling wire any time soon; nor will I be lifting anything heavy with or without a pulley. The video will have to wait. This review shouldn't have to, though.Buyer need not beware. This product is exactly as described, definitely heavy duty, and well worth the asking price. I pride myself on having a wide array of tools and needful things. This will do nicely.

I needed 4 hooks for my marine boat hoist. I use stainless steel wire and there is some minor rust on the wheels after being exposed to the salt air for a few months, but they work perfectly and I am happy.
