Our wire grip is made of high quality carbon steel which is strong and durable. It fits for cable from 5/32 inch to 7/8 inch , the maximum load is 2 Ton / 4408 Lb.
The whole wire grip is 9.5” x 3.75” (L x W), portable to carry, can be used to adjust the sag issue of overhead power lines, pull steel cable or tighten wires.

4 month review.Worked ok until quit working.Will not grab wire anymore. Teeth are stripped.I have a rusty old smooth surface grabber from the bottom of the tool box with no teeth that still works like new.This is garbage.

I was extremely pleased at how easy and effective this worked for me. I needed to salvage two sections of fiber optic cable each about 1,000 feet. The spring action of the grip easily locked on the cable, and I was able to attach to my hitch. I was able to gently extract the cable from the buried conduit. It worked like a champ.

Attempted to use this to tension a 3/8" steel wire rope for a zip line. Mechanism appeared to be free moving, but when placed on the cable and pulled against it did not grip tightly enough and slipped down the cable immediately, even under light force. I tried increasing the clamping force by wrapping a bungie around it which helped, but only marginally so, and would slip WELL below the rated 2 ton capacity.
