LinksTek PCIE-SE2 is a PCIE to dual RS232 DB9 serial ports expansion card. It is based on ASIX AX99100 solution will compatible with most Windows OS and Linux systems. Allow users add dual serial RS232 DB9 ports on desktop PCs, working stations or industrial equipment by a single PCIE slot. Users can full use the old device with Serial RS232 ports such as modem, cellular phone, PDA, ISDN terminal adapter, satellite receiver, graphic tablet, bar code scanner, label printer, automated teller machine, GPS, finger print identification, Infra-Red transceiver, packet radio, magnetic card reader, POS devices, multi-modem dial-up server digital camera, automation interface, card reader and more serial ports devices. I rarely write reviews, but this purchase deserves one.I was struggling trying to connect a Cisco Catalyst 3560 switch to be programmed to my 16 year old HP pavilion PC running Windows 10 Pro.I purchase a few adapters and cables on Amazon and they never worked, until I came across to this product and decided to buy it. Guess what, after a successful installation I was able to stabling communication from my pc to the Cisco making possible to be programmed.This product works if you know what you are doing.Thank you seller.

I have been trying to get the CAT port on my old Yaesu FT-847 working for some time now. Putting a scope on the Rx pin of the radio I noticed that the levels seemed very low at about 3 volts. This was using a USB serial port CAT cable purchased specifically for this radio. I thought why not try a more traditional serial port and ordered this product. Installation went smoothly and my Windows 11 PC soon showed two new serial ports. Connecting one to the radio with a F-F null modem cable and initialized everything at 4800 baud. Bang just like that the CAT port lit up and started working. Looking at the levels on the scope, they are more like 10 volts now.

I would have given this a five star but you have to install drivers for Windows 11 before this will work. If you do not have access to a CD reader you will have to search for ASIX AX99100 drivers and download them off the internet. Other than that it works good.
