I was making 36 Triangle Peg games for my granddaughter for her birthday party giveaway and to some adult friends of ours. The cost per unit online was over the top so I decided to build them myself. And, that was why I bought an inexpensive Tabletop Drill Press.The Press didn't come with an elaborate method of moving the platform up/down and so it was trial and error to get the platform at the height I needed to drill the 15 holes perfectly inside the triangle. After wasting some good pine, I went looking online and found this gem.With the Drill Press platform loosen, and the Lift under it, I just raised the lift, checked the height, and tweaked it to the perfect height. After tightening up the Press' platform, I drilled a test hole and then proceeded to drill the 15 holes in the 36 triangles.

I bought this to go under my router for my router table, to move my router up and down!!!! I am stoked , works like a charm. I can move my router up and down little bits at a time. Love it!!! Works perfectly!!!! The price was also great!! Cannot complain at all!!!

I bought this to use lifting a plunge router in a router table. It is 90% plastic. The ad says that it supports 10 kg. That might be true, but it will not lift 1 kg. I can hold it closed with minimal pressure in one-handed grip. The metal rod slides on the top and bottom plastic covers and it is almost impossible to lift any weight. I returned it after 15 mins of use.

I bought this to use with a CNC laser engraver. I gave it a try because of the price expecting to buy a "better" one if this one would come close to doing what I wanted it to do. I read the complaints and figured out beforehand how to solve the alleged problems. First thing I did was put a drop of oil on the threads. Worked great. The adjustment knob was very secure so I had no problem with that. But if I do, there is a jam nut that you would simply tighten. I think this is a great value for the price. Does what I wanted it to do. And I don't think I will need to buy a " better" one

Price compared to others. I needed one of these when repairing a guitar but could not see spending the $100.00 + price tag on the one I had come across at a luthier supply company. With little modification this would have done the job required of it and saved me hours of time trying to make something. What I came up with was risky and ockward. I wish I could tell the world about this. It is plastic and that makes it suitable for modification even for a student who would appreciate the fact that anyone could afford this and it would last a lifetime. It can be very messy and even more frustrating trying to glue and stabilize the inside braces of an acoustic guitar and this with a few modifications would make it a pleasure. I would recommend a light touch as this unit has more pressure than you should ever need. A FIVE STAR HERO ON MY LIST. And I am not affiliated with this company in any way.
