I have had many oil lamps over the years, and I am very familiar with potential problems. This one is attractive, sturdy, and works well.PROS: Good, thick borosilicate glass. For those who aren't familiar, borosilicate (originally Pyrex, but Pyrex brand now uses only ordinary glass) is sturdier and much less prone to breakage with temperature extremes. Attractive irregular surface. Great chimney--not too thick or thin, holds wick well (many others subject to slipping). With trimmed wick burns steadily and safely.CONS: A bit pricey, but not enough to deduct a star. Quality is appreciated. Filling is always challenging, but that is true of all oil lamps.

Tweezers didn’t come with it. Instructions on best way to assemble and use it didn’t come with it either.

Apparently the flange on my wick holder was also chipped. Still functional but for the price that is unsat.

They look very nice. My sister had some of these, and I always liked them. She passed away and I wanted them ut daughter hot them, so decided to order them. I’m glad I did!

The flange of the wick holder was chipped when I received it. Since it doesn't interfere with the working of the lamp and it's hard to see, I kept it. In any case, the glass on this part is pretty thin, so I may replace it with a better wick holder — if I can find one these days.
