PERFECT FIT! Took forever to research this part so I hope this helps anyone who owns a dodge ram 1500. Mine is a 2004... Very hard to find this out there.

The groove is not wide enough to lock in to aluminum valve covers.

The manufacturers idea of 1 inch in mine seem to be different. The ID was actually 7/8 inch and I needed to ream 1/8 inch out of the center to allow for my breather to fit.

These grommets are perfect. I couldn’t find the at any parts store. They are and excellent fit for my BBC ALUMINUM valve covers breather and PVC valve… It is a tight fit but is exactly correct…
