I've used a lot of the mist makers in the past. I've never seen one last more then 3 months, it has moving parts, they wear out. I suspect this one is the same, but I got this for a cauldron for a Halloween decoration. It worked well for this! We packed it up with our decor and will try it again next year!Other people said they had problems with the power cord. We did not have any issues with ours.

It does not deserve 1 star, but I was not allowed to choose 0!!!! I purchased these for my witch cauldron for a Halloween display. We plugged it in & it did work. When we went to unplug it, one of the prongs for the plug-in came out in the outlet! On the 2nd one, the prongs were loose. So, we sent them back and they sent us another set. We used them one time and the exact same thing happened!!! These are definitely not worth it!!!!!

This little disc is perfect for our special effect Halloween display. We have had one of these for years, and I'm always afraid it will die on us. I saw this on Amazon and had to grab it for a backup, just in case.We have a witch with her cauldron. The cauldron is filled with water, and this little disc is submerged in the water. Within seconds, fog rises from the cauldron while the LED lights are changing colors in the water. it's very cool how it works, and just filling the cauldron ¾ full, the fog will swirl inside and provide a perfect effect of the witch cooking up her brew.This is worth it, even if it's for a one day effect. It does bubble some water up, so be sure to put down a towel in the area you will be using it. Overall, fun and always draws attention as everyone wants to know what the witch is cooking.
