One unit wouldn't open/unlock and I ordered black but one came with a silver barrel. At least Amazon arranged rapid replacement but still leaves me with the trouble of the return and I have little hope the replacement will be any better.

I perform enough to have had close calls with guitar straps working their way off the pegs resulting in a near drop if my reflexes had not kicked in averting a near disaster or broken guitar neck. I replaced just one of the strap pegs with this lock (pick the best location for your purposes) and use the colored (or black) neoprene washer to secure the fixed end. It took me a few minutes to figure that out because the instructions don't mention that. Worry free playing ever since!

Works great on my strat and LP. The strap feel secured. Few bucks to protect thousands of it from falling… oh yeah! No brainer!

This is one of the. More affordable locks. Pretty easy to use and install but once locked in place it does not fit firmly. So long as got don't mind a slight woobly fit... it does lock in place well. I've been slowly replacing all my old regular strap pads with these So there's that
