I restored a pair of 35+-year-old Advent speakers using these rubber gaskets. The old rubber gaskets were completely blown out and disintegrated. I mainly used Tightbond, Quick and Think multi-surface glue, although I think I would use Gorilla Glue Super Glue if I had to do it again. The trickiest part was getting the glue to bond the inner ring of the gasket with the speaker cone, because those two surfaces we not touching and speaker had to be pushed up or the gasket had to be pushed down. I think it would have been easier to get the two surfaces to bond with a faster setting glue. I did not use the recommended speaker glue and that may have made a difference. As it was I pushed some small rags under the speaker cone to prop it up while the glue dried. I waited 24 hours before putting a load on the speakers.

The material is of good quality. Only issue with this is the size.. The middle circle is bigger than the size listed. I had to use more rub glue than I wanted to make it fit

Bring your own adhesive. I liked the fit and finish of product. The rubber glue I used was slow to dry, but now that it has the woofers work perfectly

These are more rubber than they are foam, so some people might not like that. I used them to successfully re-foam 8" Marantz woofers out of no-name speakers my dad had when I was a kid. The measurements worked out. I used a contact adhesive that came with a different company's speaker re-foam kit. I had leftover glue, so it worked well for these rings as well. The speakers are back to working after having sat with rotten foam for the past 25 years.
