I bought a 2019 Ford F-150 and the place where the trailer chains attach to the truck was so thick that the harbingers at the end of my trailer chains were just not big enough, so...I bought these to attach to the truck. They were rated strong enough for my trailer and they fit the new truck, but they were small enough for my chains to hook to them. Think of them as an adapter. Anyway, I can now attach my trailer chains to them and they are attached to the truck.

Low quality product. Impossible to install, likely due to being poor quality. No way to get enough leverage to hammer and ruined a C clamp trying to drive the pin through. Even if you get them installed, the finish will be gone from spending entirely too much time installing something that is supposed to make your life easier. Now I get to cut them off

I installed these onto the safety chain slots on my F-150 as I was really tired of struggling to get my boat trailer's safety chain hooks into the slots. These links went on pretty easily, I hammered the pin into place with very little difficulty (I did not need a C-clamp, the hammer worked perfectly fine). These seem really sturdy and strong, and it is SO much easier to hook the safety chains onto these.

Put them on my 2021 Ford F250 in about 3 minutes. Tough to drive the pin with one person but once you get the hold right, it worked out well. Fits perfectly. I’ve been looking for a similar product for quite some time. Definitely recommend this product!

They look and feel heavy duty but only time will tell. You'll probably need to press them on under your truck. I used a large 6" C-Clamp which worked well and pressed on fairly easily. Hammering them on under the truck was definitely not an option. You'll need a decent clamp with a minimum of 5-1/2" of clearance.

Product is heavy duty. Only issue is size of connection is almost as big as the hooks on the hitch causing a little problem in hooking up chains.

This review is for the black 1/2" hammerlock coupling connector. I needed a safety chain solution to the lousy hitch my 2020 Ford F250 has. The safety chain for trailers wouldn't connect to the hitch. These hammerlocks are the perfect solution. They installed easily by banging the pin through the connector with a hammer. There was no need for grease or a C clamp. Installing them was easier than I expected. There was actually no swearing. Remarkable. They don't bang around when they're not connected to a trailer. I recommend them.
