The very first impression was an odd one as they arrived smothered in packing tape. Once I was able to extract them, things looked much better! They are not quite as smooth or polished as the top brand name clamps I have been using for a decade, but the price point is unbelievable if you are just getting started in underwater photography. They are slightly longer and don’t seat as readily, requiring a bit more turning and effort for my small hands, but it’s not often that I have to completely change out a joint anyway. Once fully engaged, the main screw sticks out a bit which makes a rough edge I’d want to keep away from my neoprene suit or silicone seals. However, they do their job keeping my strobe arms solid and secure, which is the most important part. Happy to have these in my dive kit as a backup pair!
