Bought this for my 55 gallon aquarium. it seems to be doing okay. Came with batteries installed and a spare set of batteries I wasn't expecting. Only con is trying to get the back over back on. it's super tight.

Using them I found my new rwhirlpool efrigerator that came set on the recommended temperature was off by 15 to 20 degrees. Fridge was running 45 to 46 and the freezer was running at around 32 to 36 which is above fda recommended Temps. So I pushed the button for highest setting and it works fine now. Size easily inserts in to freezer. Accurate temperature reading. Bright lcd screen easy to read

The thermometers that I received were so inaccurate as to be useless for use in my aquarium. Returned.

This pair of digital thermometers came with 2 extra button batteries and 2 extra suction cups for attaching tank sensors. I've used them for over a month and have only the best to say about them. They update the reading about every 10-15 seconds. They make it very easy to monitor my aquariumtemps to keep my baby turtles in a safe range. Inexpensive but they work great.

These are cheap no doubt, but you get what you paid for. Don't get me wrong, they work but are they accurate? That's another story. Again, it's hit or miss. One seems to work OK but suddenly felt like it needs to go down 10 degrees. For a moment I thought the water was too cold for my fish pond. Then I finally realized it's due to the cheap thermometer.I would still get it but you'll want another thermometer for 2nd or 3rd opinion.

I had an unfortunate experience with this thermometer. I used it to monitor the temperature of my 10 gallon Betta tank. Bettas need to have their water around 75 degrees Fahrenheit, so I always checked this thermometer to make sure the tank was a comfortable temperature for my fish. I started noticing the tank was a little cooler than it should be, so I'd regularly add warmer water to try to correct it. I even replaced the heater a few times because I (stupidly) didn't consider that the thermometer was just incorrect. It turned out that this thermometer was reading 10 degrees cooler than the actual water temperature. I'd never had a thermometer malfunction like this before so it didn't occur to me that the readout was wrong. Typically, if a digital thermometer is broken, it just doesn't work at all, but this one read the wrong temperature by about ten degrees or less for months. Tragically, because of this, I was consistently warming the water up to way warmer than it should have been, and my fish got sick and eventually died. I felt awful and so guilty when I discovered that the thermometer had been wrong for months. I switched to only old-fashioned glass thermometers after that.
