For the cost of Makita brand 18 volt batteries against this set is a no brainer. I have 5 different Makita tools that use this style Battery so the Difference between $190 for 2 Makita batteries against $40.00 doesn't need a rocket scientist to see the value

So far seems to work great. Only disadvantage is I believe the charge seems to be a bit less capacity than the original. The battery charges flying in all of my Chargers, and works well in all of my tools. No hang ups while sliding in and out of battery trays.

Fits perfect as described. Seems to be working great so far to replace our previous battery.

I bought my son a cordless car buffer & polisher that uses a Makita battery. However, it pooped out before the job was finished. So, I went looking for some decent replacement batteries so we could keep one charging while using the other. I found this replacement Makita 18V LXT Lithium-Ion battery which was supposed to be ideal for smaller tasks and around-the-house projects. The battery fits well and it's compatible with the Makita charger and polisher we have as well as other tools (they make a bunch of them). Best of all, this is a cost-effective alternative compared to some other more expensive OEM options. The battery's 2Ah capacity is ideal for quick tasks and charges rapidly, which is great when you are buffing and polishing more than one car. Higher-capacity batteries run longer but they cost more too. It's got a red indicator light which lets you know its pre-charge status, and it seamless fits into Makita tools and chargers.Overall, I would say the battery is a reliable and cost-effective solution for powering Makita tools. The battery's ease of use, compatibility, and performance make it a recommended choice for any job that needs more than one battery. It's not the top-end solution, but will do.

EDIT - I feel duty bound to edit this review. The battery in question lasted a bit over a month and a few charge cycles. It now won't accept a charge at all. For a 90 day battery, this just isn't a good value at any price.Aftermarket batteries are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get. Unlike chocolates though, sometimes you don't know what you're gonna get even after you get it. You don't find out until many discharge/recharge cycles...but that really shoots the metaphor to hell. I've had this battery in use for about a month now and have cycled it 3 times. In this short time period it is keeping up with my genuine 2a Makita batteries. Mind you, those batteries are at least a year old, so maybe it's not a fair fight, but this battery charges well, snaps into both the charger and tool without issue and generally does everything I expect of a tool battery. It is a lower amperage battery so I've only used it in drills and impact driver. If anything catastrophic happens down the road, I'll edit this review, but so far, so good and much cheaper than the branded version.

Battery fits well, and lasts longer than stock battery, but could be because stock is old. Good quality material.

I got my wife the Makita XCU14Z 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 6" Pruning Saw to work in her extended and extensive garden. She likes the saw, but complains it's heavy (we're old ). This 2 Ah battery is fine for her short sessions, and it weighs about half what the 5 Ah factory batteries that I have for my 16" chainsaw. Fit and finish is top shelf. Price per Ah is actually about the same as the factory 5 Ah battery. Fits and powers the 6" pruning saw. Fits and charges on my Makita charger. I've NOT evaluated the charge time, nor battery life. I'll update the review if there's anything noteworthy.

This battery works great in all of my 18v Makita tools and is a perfect replacement for my worn out (and recycled) OEM 2 aH batteries in my wonderful Mikita stick vacs. It works with no issues in my OEM chargers, also.Externally, at least, this product appears to be identical to the OEM batteries, that are a bit taller, being 3 aH ones. The key performance metric for these batteries is how long they can operate tools before needing a charge. It will be difficult for me to judge this because all my existing OEM Mikita batteries have a larger aH rating and are between 2 and 4 years old with plenty of operation time, used daily for vacuuming. I'll be happy if the runtime for this 2 aH battery is at least comparable to my oldest OEM batteries. If not, I'll update this review appropriately. In the meantime I rate this well-built and very high value for replacement battery.... 5 Stars!
