They are the perfect model for any artist. These wooden mannequins are patient models that can hold a pose for long time and no breaks, lol. Well, these are lots of fun. You can manipulate them and create the poses you wish. They have a great base to hold them in standing without a problem. Most of their surface is smooth, very well sanded. They are tall and slim and most important of all is that these guys make my drawing hobby more fun that I already had.

The 12 Inches Tall Wooden Mannequins were very sturdy, poseable, and make for a good visual representation of what you may want to sketch. The legs and extremities were very solid and kept their form as they are made with good materials.I would recommend if you are an artist or trying to figure out a certain concept to create visually.

Great set of wooden artists mannequins! They are NOT very poseable to be fair, they can be positioned but there is some kind of spring or wire internally that holds the arms and legs together that makes them spring back a bit - vs. just holding any position you leave it in. They're about a foot tall each, and seem fairly well constructed and stable... NICE!

This 2 pieces, 1 each man and woman wood mannequins on stands, seems to be good quality with nice smooth wood, is jointed, very positionable for using in figure drawing. The difference between the mannequins is the woman has a high bust area with longer narrow waist and the man has wide shoulders and upper torso. There are screws and slots in the ball like joints that can be twisted and directed towards the way you want the pieces to bend to complete the pose and keep them in position. They are very excellent for helping with body proportions, joints and positions when drawing. They are about 13"h x 3.75"w on the stand but, can be taken off for lounging poses. Without the stand they are about 12"h x 3.75"w.

ZXZCTTC 2Pack 12 Inches Tall Wooden Mannequins These art mannequins are well made, Nice quality. I appreciate that they are made of wood rather than plastic. The limbs are fairly stiff and hold poses well, however the poses they can assume is somewhat limited. Restrictions in the arm prevent the hand from being placed on most locations on the body, and the legs at the hip only have the option to move forward...no rotations or lateral movement. As an artist I often find it surprisingly difficult to find reference photos of the exact pose I want. I many still be unable to get the exact pose I want even with these, do to their limitations, however they are still better than no references at all, and will likely come in handy more often than you might think. These are better than most friends' mannequins that I have seen; most have plastic models, and all were more loose and had difficulty holding poses. Certainly worth the $13.99 for the two mannequin set!4 stars!Explaining my rating system:5 - a superior product - I would recommend4 - above average – a great choice3 - average – what one might generally expect2 - below average – I would advise seeking an alternative1- Horrible – a waste of your valuable money - avoid if at all possible

Okay, yeah, I am a Grandma and not so well-versed on what is cool and what isn't, but in my defense, the whole concept of "cool" is even older than I am, so I feel very confident in saying that if you like to draw, paint, or sculpt, you will probably find these cool. I've wanted a couple of these for more than half a century but never got any. Now that I've had a chance to play around with them I can't figure out why I waited so long. It's so easy to find a model or two when they are standing patiently on your desk just waiting to serve. I would have had so much fun with these! They'd have been so handy back in my comic-book action hero phase during my pre-teens. At 12", they are fairly large. That's a full-sized wood case pencil my figure is posing with in the pic above. The round base is finished in a clear coating, but the figures themselves appear to be unfinished. There are a few rough spots, but for the most part they are sanded smooth. They are pretty flexible, but they hold their poses really well. The figures are capable of a few things only an Olympic gymnast could manage, but can't pull off a few basic human tricks like touching their toes. They are still incredibly useful and fun, though.

This is very useful for figure drawing. The mannequins are made of good quality wood and seem strong enough. They are not very heavy, but the quality is good.I believe an 8-head proportion is used to make those mannequins. Some good thoughts were giving for manufacturing these. For example, I like that if you view from the profile, you will notice that from the pit of the neck to the end of the sternum a concave curve is used. Also, the anatomical landmarks are accurate when it comes to proportions. However, not a 100% accurate. You can see from the photos that the joint attachments of the legs is inaccurate. They are not attached to the hip, but rather below the pelvis area. However, any figure drawing class or anatomy books go over some of these basic joints, but students should be aware of this.Good gift idea for artists.

The whole point of this kind of figure is to provide accurate proportions and realistic movement and poses, to help an artist draw an accurate and proportional figure. On these models, the arm proportions are out of whack, and the pelvis has nothing resembling hip sockets - instead, the legs are attached underneath the pelvis such that the legs can only move forward and backward. No criss-cross, applesauce for these figures!
