These thongs really work. I can lift bowls out of my food steamer without worrying about burning my fingers/hand. The grippers at the end of these thongs provide a good grip so what you are holding won’t slip.

The hot pot and jar grippers are perfect for picking up anything that is too hot to handle with your bare hands, or if you're pot is missing a handle you could use these as a alternative. The grippers are heavy duty with a locking mechanism to securely grip and stay close on whatever you are picking up. The grippers also have a jar gripper on the end to help pick up hot circular containers without burning your hands. These grippers are great to have in the kitchen or lifting out hot plates or bowls from the microwave.

These kitchen tongs are a neat item, to help grab hot bowls or pans. They extend very wide, so it's useful for a wide variety of sizes. I particularly loved the bent tong on the back of the handle, it's got a set of nice rubber teeth on it. The main wide tongs take a bit of grip strength to hold on to a large dish, so keep that in mind, but the tongs are lined with a thick silicone pad on each size so it'll protect your kitchenware nicely. The lock seems to work well. A pretty good addition to my kitchen!

I got this to use when steaming. I am able to grip the steamed food/plate out of my pot easily with this. I'm relieved not to have to go through juggling acts anymore.

I don't know what cursed me to for some reason own oven mitts and yet never want to use them when it comes to just pulling pans out of the oven. I'm always willing to do my job and grab them for picking up pots from the stove and etc but when I'm just opening the oven to pull out a baking dish or pan I'm forever trying to hazard how fast I can pull it out before I burn my fingers. This device still doesn't entirely curb my worst instincts but at least when I do hesitate I can remember to maybe pick this up and use it. The grabber is quite sturdy with the ability to hold a heavier item. The gripping tool is quite strong but do be careful to ensure you have the tightest grip so you're not at risk of the item sliding out of your hands and causing a dangerous spill. I think its pretty neat this works between working with something like a pan and the being able to life and hold something like a bowl. Price is good and the tool tucks in very nicely to a drawer so its convenient. Can withstand very high temperatures on the rubber part but do be mindful of the harder plastic. Worth the try for the cost.

This is made of good quality materials, and feels sturdy when I use it, even on a bowl full of food. I keep it by my microwave to lift dishes out that have gotten hot. It keeps my fingers from getting burned. It doesn't take up much room on my countertop, is easy to use. I like that it can be locked closed. I like the silicone grips, they work well to grip dishes.

No more burned fingers! The wider grabbing option is a little tricky but I have a small microwave so that could well be the reason. The bowl clip though? Yay!! no more burned fingers or dropped bowls and I am very happy with this order.
