The coolant system pressure tester is equipped with 17 specific adapters and 1 universal tapered rubber adapter, suits for almost all types of radiator openings on classic and modern vehicles. Installation and use 1. Choose a suitable adapter and screw the adapter onto the radiator filler neck,and connect the pressure tester to adapter. Adjustment the pump pressure to the range between 10 and 15 psi and check if the gauge reading change. If it does, there could be leaks in the cooling system. NOTICE!!! Do not pump the pressure up to 35 psi.

2. Drain coolant from the radiator. Hook the gauge underneath the car’s hood. Connect shop air to shop air connector and connect the conical adapter or a suitable test cap onto the radiator filler neck. Turn on the air switch and air control valve, while coolant control valve remains off, to create a vacuum in the cooling system. When the pressure falls into the range between -50 and -60 cmHg (-20 and -25 inHg), turn off the air control valve and then air switch

3. Connect the coolant hose to the coolant hose connector. Put the hose into a container filled with pre-mixed new coolant. Turn on the coolant control valve (while the air control valve and air switch remain off), coolant will be introduced into the radiator immediately. The refilling process is completed when the gauge reads zero. (repeat vacuum and refill if necessary)

Might have to work with getting it to seal but once you figure out how much to tighten it or loosen each adapter your in business I’ve used to one multiple vehicles including bmw, and Lincoln, Nissan,Chevy and Ford definitely worthwhile. Oh btw this is a year later review

The only complaint I had was that the directions were for a different kit so I had to try different adapters until I found the correct one for my car. Once I had everything connected it was easy to refill my coolant system after replacing several hoses.It built enough vacuum to significantly collapse the coolant hoses. I have a large compressor so I had no problems building the vacuum needed (it uses compressed air flowing through a manifold to create vacuum). I was able to quickly and efficiently refill my coolant system which took 1 gallon of antifreeze and I didn’t have to burp the coolant system because air pockets are eliminated using this method. A smaller compressor may require you to cycle the valves on the manifold to allow the compressor to build pressure back up.Kit is well packed and stores neatly in the case.I perform 99% of my own car repairs and wish I had purchased a setup like this sooner.

I'm not sure how a product like this continues to be around. I tried using it on 3 different vehicles, won't hold pressure, very cheap garbage. I ordered THREE of these kits, and yes, all three were junk Amazon sells dozens of these kits but they are all the same. Do not buy.

Had this kit for a couple months and have used it for radiators and a couple tank tests. Handier than what I expected. Could use a bigger pressure pump.
