These are tight fitting 38mm caps with a good sealing HDPE liner. At about $1.63 per unit, I found them to be a little pricey, but hopefully more durable than the ones they replace

I ordered these to provide replacement lids for the 1-gallon juice jugs that I use in my homebrewing projects. They provide excellent fit and sealing, and I am very happy to have ordered them. It is important to measure your own jug's opening carefully and then select the proper size. Recommended!

Needed new screw lids for my growlers. Was concerned about the fit, but these fit tightly will no leaking. I used a printable ruler to measure for the correct size caps. Bingo! Perfect fit. Have the extras for rotation is a big plus.

I purchased some 12 oz glass bottles a few months ago. I use them for making my own ketchup. The plastic caps that come come with the bottles are thin and cheap. And the inside liner is some sort of waxed cardboard. After only a few weeks, one of the caps has already broken with I tightened it.These 38mm caps are made of a thicker and sturdier plastic. And the inside contains a soft clear plastic insert instead of cardboard. If need be, the plastic insert can be removed for cleaning. These are much sturdier, and should last a lot longer.

After a Costco bottle of vanilla extract fell out of my cupboard and the lid broke, I needed a replacement lid. I took some measurements and crossed my fingers when I ordered these lids. Fortunately, they worked perfectly!

I brew my own Kombucha. I bottle it in reused Kombucha bottles. (Glass bottles are expensive--they often cost just as much as a bottle of kombucha so it makes sense to just buy new flavors to try and then reuse the bottle. Kombucha bottles have to be strong because it's carbonated/pressurized so they last a really long time.)Every now and then the original plastic caps will fail, so I needed to find some extra ones that would fit. These fit perfectly on GT's, Kevita, and Aldi's store brand kombucha bottles, which is mostly what I have. These caps are thick and sturdy and hold pressure with no issue. I've never had one leak.Another brand of caps that I bought are similar to these but they break if I overtighten (weird, right?). I haven't had that happen with these. Granted, I'm a lot more careful when I tighten caps now. Just be aware that water sneaks under the cone when you wash them. They're easy to pop out with a thumbnail so I separate them when washing. I let them dry and then put them back together to store. I don't run these through the dishwasher. I need them to last as long as possible. I do sterilize them by covering them with boiling water right before I cap and haven't had any problems with that short exposure to heat.This size--38-400--is the right cap size for standard 64 oz (2qt/0.5gal)) growlers which also happens to be the same size needed for these kombucha bottles. Either the other reviewer was sent the wrong size or they have a nonstandard growler.Recommended.
