I really like this wooden watercolor kit. It’s made out of wood with a quality feel and is great for when you want a combination of portability and sturdiness in your watercolor set up.There’s plenty of pan space so I can include a good variety of tube watercolor shades. I usually work with a rather limited pallet, so I leave a lot of the pans empty but use them as mixing areas and let the resulting shades dry for future reuse.This kit is really pretty and nicely made. I would consider it gift quality. I think that it would be quite special for most watercolor artists – especially young people may want to paint on the go. The thing that I like best is that it does have a bit of weight to it and the hinges have a firm movement. That makes it a great kit for me for painting outdoors at home with a puppy nearby. If the little one gets a little too rambunctious I can close things up and it doesn’t take much supervision to keep everything safe. It has the feeling of something that has been designed to last through years of years.

I was so excited when this compact all wooden travel pallete was delivered ! it is just as described. The selling point was the carry handle!! it only weighs 2#'s, equal to 2 cans of soup! Happy painting every customer who indulges themselves with the great product! thanks Amazon!
