I have to admit I'm not using this for mason line, but this stuff has been amazing for use in my garden and honestly just about anything else I've used it for. The color is nice and bright and easily identifiable, and the tensile strength is more than enough to hold a significant amount of weight. The hole through the middle allows for you to be able to load it onto the handle.

I’ve used this on foundation layouts and for lining roof trusses. This definitely doesn’t have as much stretch as standard block line.

This performs just as you would expect. It is very strong and can handle a lot of mistreatment while working. I would definitely purchase again, although I doubt I will use this all up in the next 10 years, 250' is a long line.I used it to dig out footings for a trampoline on a yard with a pretty decent slope. I pounded stakes and then pulled this across with a line level attached to make sure the line was level. I needed to string the full outside dimension of a 10x17' trampoline so it was nice that this is a long line, I of course had plenty left and didn't feel bad about cutting off sections. The line stayed tight throughout the job and was easy to see with the yellow color. I do wish I tried the orange instead, it may be a little brighter and easier to see.The only tricky thing is to find the end of the line. It is glued in place on the last wrap around the spool. Once found I needed to use a screwdriver to free it from the glue, no big deal but just know you will find the end on the outside, not tucked somewhere inside the spool.

When setting a string line for digging fence posts, I've made the mistake of using a cheaper alternative to real mason string. I learned that real mason string like this won't stretch nearly as much when you pull the string tight between your stakes, and therefore, it doesn't begin to sag when you're bumping up against the string while digging your post holes, or because you left it out overnight.This offering from SDLTHR is about the same as what you get from Home Depot, both in terms of function and price. If you're not in a hurry and you can get free shipping, you might was well save a trip to your local Home Depot.
