Actually pretty good quality sturdy plastic. They show up best in dark but not too bad at dusk. They are solid or blink. They don't stay on as well as they could. If you are looking for the best quality glasses we ordered 3 different types and found that ExtremeGlow(online) has the best service and product. Good luck. Our 50th birthday party was a hit with all the glow light products we used :)
