I have used this for putting a dovetail in steel. It cuts well and left a good finish. I rated at 4 stars because they do not mention that the shaft is 12mm. I was lucky that I have an R8-12mm collet for my mill. Others may not have one and should be beware of this.

The tool works good. I got it to make quick change tool holders for my lathe, works perfect. On the down side, the shank is under 1/2" . I useda well worn 15/32 collet to hold it.

The shank diameter came in less than 1/2" or 24mm so my 1/2" collet wouldn't hold. Had to turn down to 7/16" and use a 7/16" collet. Once installed it does make a clean dovetail cut for making ad-hoc AXA tool holders.

I took it easy F&S wise and light step overs to ensure the tool lasted through the job.I used it to machine two double-sided 12" dovetail jaws in ground steel. The tool worked well and shows little to no signs of wear.

This cutter works well with a 12mm collet. since all I had was a 1/2 in collet, I had to use an adapter sleeve to get it to work correctly. you can do the same with a soda can shim, thou it makes it tight an you might lose concentricity. with a RoutER11, this works out of the box, but I have that cutter on a router, not a mill, I dont have height or solid fixturing that is needed to use this correctly.
