The thickness of these gaskets were so thin that I had no confidence in them preventing exhaust leaks.

Hello, I would say that the material used is strong, however it wouldn’t seal for me. I decided to just go with V-bands, I suggest you do the same. You won’t have to worry about gaskets ever again.
