I have had a Motion Sensor in this location (at the garage door) for many years. The initial problem with my prior Motion Sensor is that the outside lights would come ON with no specific MOTION actuation. I tried replacing with the same model that worked well for many years (same problem). As I said, this Motion Sensor works well !!!

Unit Works. My "old" unit had some adjustments, but the newer seems to behave more like the unit that is directly opposite on the other side of the house: different manufacturer. The new has a test setup that helps ensure that all connections were done correctly.

For the price this works awesome.I have been using free motion sensors that construction sites throw away but they are not built for outside. However, I have only had this for about 3 weeks. It usually takes more than a year for my free ones to start to fail. But this is designed to be outside, I do have it under my carport so it is getting some protection from Phoenix weather.I installed it, easy to install, I adjusted for time and sensitivity, both adjust perfectly and is very sensitive to the sides but not as far directly in front, but it doesn’t matter for my situation because my carport to door is about 25’ and at a 40’ range setting, it did not detect me coming out of the door but 60’ did.I want as much sensitivity as possible so this works for my needs. Much cheaper than some other motion sensors, you could buy 2-3 of these compared to other brands and still be ahead.I recommend!

I didn’t use this in the most conventional way—had to do a little MacGyvering to get it set up between my LED light and the outlet—but now, when I walk into my well house, the light turns on automatically. No more worrying about leaving it on when I leave! The adjustability is a nice touch, letting you fine-tune the timing and sensitivity. Just be prepared to tweak it a bit to fit your setup.

This motion detector works fine and is easy to hook up to an existing light that has a broken motion detector. Just connect like-colored wires with the wire nuts. The stalk was the exact same size as on my existing light, so it fit my light perfectly.Just don't do what I did and assume the problem with your existing light is the motion detector, when in fact it was the light itself that was bad. I didn't discover this until replacing the motion detector with this one and then the light still didn't light. I then tested the light itself (bypassing the detector) and discovered the light was bad. When I hooked this motion detector up to the the broken light in test mode, I saw the LED blink on the detector which indicated it easily picked up my every motion from a good distance off. I then hooked up a volt meter and saw it was in fact sending electricity to the light, so the detector worked fine.I take one star off for the all-plastic construction, as I'd like to see metal at least on the stalk.

I needed a way to turn my coach lights into motion sensor lights. By mounting this sensor on a weatherproof junction box in between both lights, I was able to achieve my goal with out replacing the two coach lights. The wiring and the set up were straight forward. Time will tell about the endurance of the sensor.
